Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.

Applications are now open and can shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the following criteria:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house that has a combined gross house earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• People with disabilities qualify if their combined household earnings won't exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding here and want not post any evidence of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to offer the proper Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South nsfas check African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are researching or intend to research in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
